"Do you truly believe that?" Loki asked, deep down inside wanting to believe the mans words.
"I do. Thor has told me how you were during your childhood, and I know despite your origins you are a good man at heart." Loki nodded as a slight frown crossed his lips, sitting up after a moment of silence.
"Thank you Dr. Selvig, our conversation has...enlightened my view of this situation." The god stood and brushed his clothes off of unseen dirt, the professor rising with him.
"Anytime. Tell your brother I said hello." Loki nodded and shook his outstretched hand before walking off and vanishing into the stream of people that passed by the stunned man. It was so surreal what just happened, but he had experienced much more bizarre things so he only sat down and picked his book back up. Loki returned to the tower about an hour later, flying up to his floor rather than using the elevator inside. It gave him a reason to avoid Stark, who constantly bugging him to do "magic ticks", which was quite irritating to him. The Asgardian sighed and placed his staff on the dining room table, more showing Barton a sign he was mostly unarmed.
"Why did you save those people? Why did you save us?" The archer asked, staying in the vent he was hiding in while Loki sat down on a chair, a cup of tea appearing in his hands.
"That is a question I myself am having trouble in answering Agent Barton. While I mostly care not for you mortals...these days my view is changing." He sighed softly, taking a sip as Barton blinked clearly not expecting this answer. "Think of what you will, you cannot expect a clear answer until I find the answer myself. As of then, good day agent." The god didn't move until he heard Barton scurry away to his destination, showering before going to bed. The day had been more emotionally draining than he thought it would be, and all Loki wanted was to not be thinking of reality for the moment.
For once Loki was blessed with a peaceful dream, the god lying in a field with the capital of Asgard glittering in the distance. The wolf that had been his own during childhood lay beside him, allowing the man to pet him as he thought about whatever drifted to the forefront of his thoughts. Frigga sat on his other side, the woman's presence comforting despite her not saying a word, occasionally taking Loki's hand to give a comforting squeeze. Sadly, as the best dreams seem to do it ended abruptly, leaving Loki to stare up at the ceiling for a few minutes in a moment of self-mourning before he got out of bed.
He didn't know which dreams were worse at times, the man frowning as he looked out at the city below from the comfort of his room. The nightmares would follow him throughout the day and made him fear once the sun would dip below the horizon, monsters seeming to be creeping out from every shadow that he lay his eyes on. On the other hand were the dreams where he felt happy for once, enjoying the time before his world had come crashing down around him. When he woke the happiness seemed to be a ghost, no matter what he did to recapture it would end in utter failure. Loki always felt like he always lost in either instance, and despised when he had to sleep because when he dreamed, he suffered for it every time. Loki sighed and got ready for the day, gone from the tower before anyone realized. He had no destination in mind, the god just needed a place secluded to spend his day away from civilization and more importantly his brother. He found said place on the outskirts of New York, some sort of park that was abandoned and run down for the most part. The whole neighborhood around it seemed to need some serious repair, and with a wave of his staff the whole place was fixed up and looked like it had several years ago. Satisfied the Asgardian settled against the trunk of an old tree and summoned his sketchbook, drawing various animals and children who had come to play in the now safe park. He was overlooked for the most part, and he was left to enjoy his day without the constant underlying hatred from the Avengers he could feel and see.

Avengers - Loki's redemption - Final Chapter
Chapter Twenty-Four
S.H.I.E.L.D agents now had Doom, strapped to a hospital bed, on plenty of painkillers. Stark Tower was now partly operational, after a spark from Slepnir had re-started Jarvis, a process that had Tony making a mental note to provide another back-up for magical containment, as two magicians in the tower was, to be frank, pushing it.
The lab was under-going several repairs, with Erik and Pepper overseeing the Stark robots. The Asgardian warriors, Natasha and Hawkeye were busy comparing weapons and battle stories. Nick Fury had updated Steve and himself on exactly how everything at S.H.I.E.L.D had gone down and Tony had

Avengers - Loki's redemption - Chapter Twelve
Chapter Twelve.
Loki could sense that Barton-son meant well but his hunger for knowledge made him impatient. When well and rested, Loki could plan and was the epitome of patience. Now, his fragmented memories were a maddening itch and Loki was determined to scratch it. Surely using magic for information was not against Stark's rules?
Where is my disavantage? You lack conviction....
Loki had lacked sanity. He had been tricked, manipulated into doing anothers bidding for no sane reason. And the killings! All his powers could never undo the damage and suffering he ha

It's nice to see a writer who makes Loki seam dare I say human (Loki please don't hate me for saying that I meant no insult just don't know how else to say it ) most of the story's I've read have Loki go from bad to good without talking to much about the internal conflict he must have going on or how that makes him feel but you do
