Canadian Birthday (PruCan)

Opening his brilliant violet eyes, Canada frowned.

He knew it would be the same old routine, despite the fact that it was his birthday. Sitting up, he yawned, shuffling his way downstairs. Nobody ever remembered his birthday, for his brother’s overshadowed his, and he was always forgotten.

Entering his kitchen, Canada nearly had a heart attack.

‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!’ There stood Prussia, with his usual stupid grin, holding out a stack of pancakes, the words Happy Birthday Birdie! scrawled in syrup.

Canada blushed, hugging his long term boyfriend before sitting down, devouring the pancakes quickly.

‘Vas mein birdie thinking he vould be vithout the Awesome me today?’ Prussia teased, smirking when Canada blushed, looking down at the floor.

‘Vell, ve are going to have an awesome day!’ And with that he dragged Canada out of his house, laughing when Canada protested, giving up when they got into his car.

The day, even though a bit strange at times, was the best Canada had ever had, ending with them lying on a grassy hill, pointing out various constellations to each other, and eventually falling asleep hand in hand.
